As the first dive club in Dakar, Océanium has been training most divers in Senegal for almost 40 years. Military, firefighters, scientists and private divers are accompanied throughout the year to obtain their certifications.
Whether it is for your try dive or your instructor certification, our team will support you during short trainings of three days (Open Water) or accompany you as long as you wish.

Our certifications
SSI training courses are recognized worldwide and allow you to become an independent diver. They include an online theory kit acquired for life, sessions in protected (pool or sea with 5m depth max.) and natural environments and a final certification with the digital card on the mySSI application.
These courses also exist for junior divers between 10 and 15 years, who will automatically obtain their adult certification when turning 16.
Discover our specialties
Specialties allow you to gain competencies and experience in specific areas. You will earn cards of recognition (Specialty Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Master Diver, Century Diver…).
Some specialties are mandatory within the SSI system of continued training and recognition to progress towards an expert level (Master Diver) or the first professional level (Dive Guide).
Océanium occasionally organizes photo competitions or research activities, treasure hunts, or courses for underwater orientation or cartography. To participate, it is essential to have the corresponding specialty.

Océanium additionally offers specialties and specific recognitions for ecology programs, some of which are organized by the NGO Océanium.
